As everyone is aware that attended the 2009 Youth Day event at Emmerling Community Park on June 6th – we had a great day! The weather was perfect, the demonstrations were awesome and the food was free!
This year the event was very trying to coordinate and the efforts to secure enough funding was extremely difficult. The economy is tough for everyone right now. Also, volunteers are harder and harder to get each year.
The Youth Day Committee has decided to give everyone a break in 2010 (donors, sponsors, volunteers, and the Committee Members) and to not have an event next year.
We have a great community and we are hopeful that in 2011 we will have the continued support by all to have another great event!!!
